ROBERT SCHMERTZ JACOB

The first grandchild of Bob Schmertz, Rob is the son of Gretchen Schmertz  and Lindsay Jacob. He lives in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and has two children. Continuing in the Schmertz artistic tradition, Rob is a guitarist and singer in the band Memphis Mike and the Legendary Tremblers, a Pittsburgh based group.

Quoting from The Tremblers web site . . .“Formed in 1995, this Rock & Roll trio has been storming stages all over the North Eastern United States as well as playing festivals all over the country. 2002 saw Memphis Mike take the crowds by storm on a two week tour of the UK. 2003 saw Memphis Mike and The Boys invade and conquer Australia, playing to literally thousands of screaming fans!”

Ed Masley of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette wrote "If you haven’t seen The Tremblers yet, do yourself the favor, especially those of you who worship at the altar of guitar!"
